Leadership

The People Who Run JJCStarted Where You'd Start.

Our leadership team has more than 175 years of combined experience under the Golden Arches. Many of them began as crew, and all of them still know their way around a kitchen.

Ten Years Ago,Maribel Was Crew.

Maribel Rodriguez started at McDonald's a decade ago. A few years back she took over a struggling restaurant in Bourbonnais and turned it around, so John asked her to do it again on North Fifth Avenue in Kankakee.

Today she leads a team of 52 there. In 2025 she received the Ray Kroc Award, which McDonald's gives to the top one percent of its restaurant managers in the world.

“I've been in their shoes. This all starts with a crew.”

They LearnedEvery Station First.

Owning a McDonald's means operating it. John and Joe have both worked every job in the building, and you'll still find them on the floor.

Owner/Operator

John opened his first restaurant in Channahon after being turned down twice. He cooked, took orders and scrubbed floors alongside his crew, and he still says the business is about people first.

In our restaurants

Every Restaurant Has a LeaderWho Earned It.

Our general managers run their restaurants like their own. Most came up through the crew, and they're the ones who train the next group to do the same.

How it works

We'd Rather Promote YouThan Replace You.

We train on the floor.

Every leader here learned the stations first, and so will you.

We name the next step.

Crew trainer, shift manager, general manager. You'll always know what comes next and what it takes.

We help pay for school.

Archways to Opportunity helps with high school completion, college tuition and English classes.
